You may find it hard to believe but app designers can really mess this up. Buy more of these smart plugs because the first was so easy to use. From your description, the smart plugs should work well cause they can be remotely controlled by the kasa app consitantly.
Instant notifications sent straight to a tablet or smartphone keep you up to date on motion and sound that matter. I've got some 30 devices in Kasa and they're linked to Google Home. I have contacted Google for support and during the process we saw both that Home isn't saying Kasa is actually linked, while the myaccounts page does show a link.
